MAX-AGOSTINI  (1914-1997)


    Max-Agostini, world-respected French Contemporary Inpressionist, was born in Paris in 1914 and died in 1997 at age 82. Considered and admired as one of the greatest colorists of his time, he studied at the Paris �cole des Beaux-Arts before settling in both the Berry and Provence regions of France to paint flower gardens, lavender and poppy fields, breathtaking seascapes, and wonderful still lifes.
For over twenty-five years, the artist had an exclusive worldwide contract with his agent Janet Greenberg, owner of the Gallery Martin-Caille Matignon, located since 1974 in the prestigious 8th district of Paris, across from the hotel Le Bristol.
Max-Agostini's works are still exhibited exclusively at the gallery and are collected in over seventy countries worldwide.
