Lavandes au soleil couchant
Lavender in the setting sun

The sun is setting - the painter must fold up his easel and put away his brushes. The lavender field remains planted, like the earth on the canvas, charmed by the last golden rays.
An Impressionist painter's life rests in an enlightened peace.
We enter the landscape, as if in a virtual vessel, the lost shadow of a passing paintbrush which, on its way, captured violet vibrations and the blues of the lavender just before picking. Two little sunflowers are posted in the foreground like gold buttons lighting up the scene and making the sky Easter egg yellow.
Curiosity of the spectrum of unexpected colors from a warm summer's day that we hate to leave. Then turning back, we see that all has been preserved in a gold frame - a window opening on to Nature.
