Universally renowned as the Leader of Contemporary Impressionists and as one of the greatest colorists of his time, MAX-AGOSTINI was born in Paris in 1914. He studied in the Paris Ecole des Beaux-Arts and then he settled into his two studios - one in Gargilesse (Berry region) for the winter, and the other in Allauch (Provence) for the summer - to paint seaside scenes and flower gardens.
For more than 25 years, MAX-AGOSTINI was linked by a worldwide exclusive contract with Janet GREENBERG, owner of the Gallery MARTIN-CAILLE MATIGNON. Janet GREENBERG continues to exhibit exclusively the painter's works after his decease in 1997, contributing to his international reputation by collectors in more than seventy countries in the world.
